Old riverfront village now with viability for a tourist resort comprising of Hotel, Log cabins and a full range of support building such as Restaurants, Water Sports facilities, Dry Ski Slope, Observatory etc. Although there is no final project in place, the Silves council is also very eager for this old village to be given a new life and to boost the local economy. E.U. Rural Tourism Grants are available for this type of project and can be applied for at the Ministry of Tourism Investment Lisbon.
