Outdoor activities Kleinmond region include a nature walk/ picnic at Rooisand where you will meet our Wild Horses. Some say that they are descendants of horses hidden in the vlei during the Anglo Boer War of 1899. They are a group of free roaming feral horses that use the area between the Rooisand Reserve and the river mouth at Kleinmond as their grazing grounds.
