Maregio Suites by Fotinos

In the cosmopolitan settlement of Santorini, in Oia, Maregio Suites hotel by Foteinos offers nine cave suites designed with simple and clear lines. A common vision between the hotel owners and the major interior architect and designer Angeliki Ambelioti, the head of Smart Interiors, was the creation of a calm comfortable haven, which is in harmony with its peaceful, traditional, and natural surroundings.
The harmony of the hotel resulted from the way of its integration into the natural landscape and modern morphology and at the same time, it was combined with elements of the local tradition of the island. It also exudes quality relaxation as a result of the composition of volumes and materials based on Aegean simplicity and the choice of colors and patterns that balance between the authenticity of the
island and the need for a contemporary visual point of view.

Each suite faces the sea. From every opening of the hotel, there is a direct view to the sunset word renowned view and to the Caldera. The scenery complements the fine aesthetics of each suite and gives inspiration for the dominance of the Mediterranean atmosphere.
The 9 cave suites move in white tones with touches of blue, beige, and gray on both the floors, the surfaces of the walls, and furniture to create a pure island breeze.
While vitality and contrast are achieved by the multicolored decorative touches of different shades in each suite, they are all different in their own way.
A particular part is the Jacuzzi whirlpool in the rooms, which complements the relaxation possibilities offered at the accommodation.
By avoiding standardization, a basic prerequisite for furnishings is the simplicity of design that adds to the overall design austerity. The interior decoration features the return to the bare, the basic, the beginning, the necessary. This purity is considered the ultimate luxury.

Lighting is an integral part of the general composition, with specially designed lighting and hidden lighting by Smart Interiors, with different intensities and qualities each to help create a friendly and relaxing environment. The suites can be characterized as ‘bright’, which is influenced by the owner’s grandfather’s personality, hence the ultimate name of Maregio Suites by Foteinos.

Following the direction given by the owners for the project, Maregio Suites by Foteinos was carefully studied and planned as a quiet, warm and intimate hospitality environment that conveys the natural landscape that surrounds it and at the same time responds to the needs of the modern traveler for comfortable relaxation and rejuvenation of the body and spirit.
