Alcorneo is a quiet village on the outskirts of the town Valencia De Alcantara, we also have another town about 10 kilometers away called San Vincente De Alcantara, slightly bigger than Valencia De Alcantara.

The area is very Horse orientated most families own a horse. And very few cars on the road. Up in the mountains near Alcorneo, you can put your head up and see Leonardo Vultures in a clear blue sky. in August each year you will see the comets or asteroids streaming across the sky and the stars every night can be seen clearly at the back of the property. The area is good for choosing what way you want to live as the surrounding villages and towns can supply you with everything you need, also you can choose to be self-sufficient as your olive trees will supply you with an income and growing your fruit and veg can be bartered with the locals for cheese or meat and your chickening if you have them. From Valencia De Alcantara the drive to our house you go through mountains and pass by olive fields the views are fantastic, if you like peace and quiet this area definitely has this commodity, as well as having a lot of activity in the towns and villages with fiestas, cinemas, bars, restaurants, disco places, Doctor, pharmacy, emergency facilities

Caceres is 100 kilometers from Alcorneo and is an old historic town. Also on the way to Caceres, you will pass a very large deer farm. Also on the road to Caceres if you look up at the telegraph poles you will see Storks nest.

We are also 15 kilometers from the border of Portugal, the town of Portalegre which has a large outdoor market once a month, there are a few supermarkets and a lot of different types of shops there and various entertainment centers, a theatre and large cinema, restaurants, bars also a large swimming pool.
