The property is a vast, independent villa with garden, situated about 400 mt from the coast. Located in a peaceful, residential zone, the house is presently decided into two, identical units, composed as follows: reception, living room, 2 bedrooms, eat-in kitchen and bathroom. Moreover, each apartment is equipped with porch and two private parking places.

Habited from the prehistoric age, the zone became important in Bronze Age, when it was populated by Greek sailors. In Roman times, it was an important commercial port, called Portus Sasinae. Later in time, it went neglected due to pirates’ raids, up to year 1000, when the abbey was constructed by Basilian monks. They lived there until XV century, when the town became a property of Acquaviva family. Dukes of Nardò, the Acquaviva family reconverted the town into a commercial port. It mainly traded oil and grain with Sicily and, later on, also with maritime Republics. All the coastline towers, still present along the Ionian coast, date back to that period.

Today, Porto Cesareo is one of the most important tourist seaside locality of Puglia. With 17 kilometres of golden, sandy beaches, as well as low cliffs with crystal-clear water, overlooking islets with rare species of animals and plants, it is one of the most esteemed resorts. Two natural reserves are present in the zone. The most important, one of 20 Italian Protected Marine Areas, is the 3rd reserve, by extension, in Italy.
